Veteran appointment delays low at Miami VA hospital

Since the Department of Veteran Affairs received $16.3 billion from the federal government in August to cut wait times for veterans, the Miami VA Healthcare System – and its flagship hospital off Northwest 16 Street —completed 98 percent of appointments made between September and February within 31 days. The hospital had a small percentage of appointment delays past 31 days, but those rates remained lower than statewide and national averages.
