New London Crime Statistics

These are some of the preliminary statistics compiled by the New London Police Department and used by the city to compare crime in 2012 and 2013. New London police have not yet fully audited the 2013 statistics or submitted them to the state. For 2013, the data shows no murders although the department acknowledges there were two: Jesus "Gee" Pinero was shot and killed on Aug. 29 and Antonio Chajon, 39, was beaten to death on Dec. 25.
