The results are based on an online survey "administered to U.S. residents ages 18+ with general representation across income, age, education and geographic demographics,” according to E-poll’s senior director of marketing and communications, Randy Parker. Surveys were conducted Feb. 28 to March 6, 2014, and Oct. 31 to Nov. 7. The number of respondents was 1,110 in the March survey, and the number of respondents was 1,005 in the November survey. The margin of error for both polls is 3 percent.
