Among more than 2 million appointments made at the Department of Veterans Affairs facilities across Florida between September and February, more than 90,000 were delayed at least 31 days. New data from the VA – analyzed by the Associated Press – reflected a push by the federal government to shorten wait times after it passed the Veterans Access, Choice and Accountability Act in August and allocated $16.3 billion to VA facilities nationwide.
