Brading£100,000100000To further develop existing well established provision in Brading and to develop youth offer across area to include St Helen?s and Sandown.ÿ Providing club sessions, activities, information, advice and guidance.ÿ Volunteers will be supported and peer mentors will be a key feature of this provision.
Footprint Trust£120,000120000Through developing a youth led and designed boutique and caf‚ this project will deliver open access provision in the Newport area, with outreach activity in Cowes.ÿ The focus of the project is to provide a safe space where young people can socialise, learn new skills and access information advice and guidance.ÿ In addition the project will enable young people to make up- cycled clothes and accessories; these will be sold through the shop to increase sustainability.ÿ The project will also work with environmental partners to widen the experiences of outdoor activities and raise awareness of social and environmental issues.
Foyer£202,500202500Comprehensive support service with central access points and a range of universal and targeted provision, drop in services for information advice and guidance and a Saturday University, specifically for developing aspirations, motivation and educational achievement.ÿ This will be delivered across Ryde, Wootton and East Cowes area.
Island Scouts£35,00035000Increasing access and inclusivity through the island?s scouting movement with a focus on groups for 14-18 year olds.ÿ Supporting young people with learning difficulties and disabilities to participate in scouting activities and expanding the Scout Network in South and Central Wight.
Pan Together£9,7059705Extend current successful offer, delivering extra weekly sessions through a youth caf‚ and outdoor activity programme, including Forest and Beach Schools on Saturday mornings to enable young people to access ?alternative education? through nature.ÿ The project will also support long term volunteers to achieve youth worker status (level 2 and 3), thus building community capacity.
Quay Arts and Vectis radio£80,00080000Using creative arts to provide opportunities for young people to stay safe, socialise, develop life skills and access new routes for personal development, accreditation and employability.ÿ Delivering youth arts provision-particularly targeted at more vulnerable young people, delivering open access sessions for young people to participate in taster sessions in a variety of mediums, expanding current provision of sessions with Vectis radio, and developing youth led arts events, workshops and conferences to promote a positive image of young people on the Island.
Revive Newport£140,000140000To increase youth provision in Newport area through delivering youth caf‚ and providing detached youth work, delivering a youth group for teenage parents and support and activities for disabled young people, provision of volunteering opportunities for young people across a range of projects.ÿ All activities will focus on well-being, support, life skills and future opportunities.
South Wight Area Youth Partnership£80,00080000Providing a comprehensive youth offer in the areas of Brighstone, Brook, Shorwell, Mottistone, Niton, Chale, Whitwell.ÿ Enhancing existing provision and further development of drop in sessions and detached/outreach youth work (including use of the youth vehicle).
Ventnor Town Council£86,83386833A partnership between Ventnor Together, Ventnor Exchange, Ventnor Skate Park Group and Ventnor Fringe.ÿ This project will increase provision at Ventnor Youth caf‚ by opening an additional 2 nights per week, will deliver creative workshops during the school holidays for the young people in the area and provide open access to the skate park for young people-where monthly training sessions during the school holidays will be held.ÿ It will develop a youth led website for promotion, signposting and celebration of young people?s achievements. ÿ
West Wight Sports Centre£85,00085000To expand on existing youth provision to include weekly youth caf‚ and weekly youth club where young people (11+)ÿ can access the sports centre and try out new sporting pursuits as well as socialise in the caf‚ and be provided with information advice and guidance. Offer includes inclusive sports sessions for disabled young people.
YMCA£35,00035000A social enterprise project giving young people the opportunity and encouragement to; develop their business idea, receive support from a business mentor to turn an initial investment into profit that benefits local charities against clear time specific objectives.ÿ The programme has a progression route so that mentors support young people into training, education and career pathways or to access business funding through the Prince?s Trust or UnLtd.
