Chronic truancy rate by grade (2010-2013)

A depiction of the percentage of CPS students in grades K-12 considered to be chronically truant. Prior to the 2011-2012 school year, the Illinois State Board of Education defined chronic truancy as missing 18 days of school. As of the 2011-2012 school  year, ISBE redefined the term to mean missing 9 days of school. The chart below reflects those changes.
